We have started brainstorming about our new project... Sprucing up the backyard.
The first project is to replace our driveway fence. Currently it's the good ol' chain link fence (actually our entire yard is fenced in with chain link.) We have little privacy from our neighbors and the chain link is just not pretty to look at. When we moved into our home three years ago we planted Leland Cypress along the back fence and they have grown to over 5' tall and are looking good. I'm planting ivy every two feet on the sides of the fence so it will climb up the fence and give us coverage as well as something pretty to look at. That leaves our driveway gate. Here are some pictures of what we thinking.
We need to keep in mind the style of our house... 1950's ranch. So as much as I love the gray painted fence it is to formal for our house. We are both leaning to the last one. We shall see!
